Photojournalism

Photojournalism: is a particular form of journalism (the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast) that creates images in order to tell a news story.

Old Famous example of photojournalism:




This photo was taken at the end of World War II in New York by Victor Jorgensen. It is one of the most recognizable examples of photojournalism because everybody can recognize the picture.

New Example of photojournalism:

This awesome picture was taken by Stephen Lam for Reuters. It pictures people protesting on the streets of Oakland. These people clashed with police during the Occupy Wall Street protests that began in 2011.
